Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end
This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall user experience
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js and ElasticSearch
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define application features and user interfaces
Implement backend services and APIs that are robust, maintainable, and performant
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the CI/CD processes to streamline development workflows
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into the development process

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering
Proficiency in Node.js and ElasticSearch/Vector or OpenSearch
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks
Experience with database systems such as Postgres SQL and MongoDB is preferred
Familiarity with data science principles and practices is a plus
Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of CI/CD workflows
Ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable software systems
Strong technical leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
