Backend Developer(Unpaid) - Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will help design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and APIs that power our platform
• Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend
• Work with PostgreSQL, ensuring efficient data storage, indexing, and query optimization
• Implement authentication and authorization systems (OAuth, JWT)
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the backend system
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other engineers in an Agile development environment
• Participate in code reviews and debugging, improving system reliability and performance
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js
• Experience working with PostgreSQL (database design, query optimization, indexing)
• Solid understanding of API development, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and web security best practices
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a bonus
• Proficiency in Git and version control workflows (GitHub/GitLab)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for debugging and optimizing performance
• Self-driven, eager to learn, and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment
