Sr Node Js Developer

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain robust and high-performance APIs to support web and mobile applications.
Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and efficient data exchange between applications and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements, design data models, and establish API endpoints.
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure API endpoints.
Optimize APIs for performance, responsiveness, and fault tolerance.
Create documentation for APIs, including endpoints, request/response structures, and usage guidelines.
Debug and resolve API-related issues, ensuring smooth data exchange between client and server.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices for API development.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs into web and mobile applications.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and standards.
Write unit tests to ensure the reliability of the APIs.

Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API design principles.
Proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks such as Express.js.
Experience with database systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL) and working with databases in a Node.js environment.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.
Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other developers and stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of experience as a Node.js developer with a strong focus on API development.
