Senior Software Engineer

A mission-driven team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale the core infrastructure of a fast-growing visual collaboration platform used by scientists and researchers. This is a full-time role focused on backend-heavy full-stack development, reliability, and scalability. You'll work cross-functionally with product, design, and data to ship high-impact features and shape the technical roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve key components of a modern SaaS platform
• Design secure integrations with third-party tools and services
• Build internal tools for enterprise user management
• Champion code quality, scalability, and maintainability
• Provide mentorship within a collaborative engineering culture

Skills

• 7+ years full-stack experience (Node.js + modern JS frameworks like React)
• Strong backend and cloud infrastructure expertise (AWS preferred)
• Proven experience scaling complex, customer-facing SaaS products
• Interest in AI applications within product development
• Excellent communication and a user-first mindset
• Bonus: Background at top tech/startups (FAANG, VC-backed) or top 50 CS degree

Benefits

• 💰 Compensation: $170k-$210k USD / $160k-$180k CAD + Equity
